In a situation where an asset should no longer circulate on customer touchpoints, it is wise to change the asset version's status to 'Withdrawn'. This is particularly helpful in situations where the asset version poses a liability, for example in case of:
Changed regulation or legislation - leaving the asset compromised
Revised product portfolio - where the product is no longer being offered (or temporarily taken off the market)
Image and reputation damage - when societal norms or perception evolves in such a way, that renders the asset version as a potential threat to company's reputation or image.
Incorrect information - when an asset contains wrong or outdated information, rendering the company responsible for giving wrong guidance.
Expiry - in case the expiry means that the asset's content is no longer trusted or approved to be communicated.
Manual intervention
At this point, Cohero requires a manual intervention by users to change the asset's status to 'Withdrawn'. Over time, we aim to introduce an automation, to have this status change automatically per the expiry date.
