In the context of an approval workflow, notifications play an important role to keep the approval process flowing. They aim to inform both the invited approvers, but also the Asset Manager about any newsworthy updates from his approval workflow. Here is a breakdown of notifications for each:
Notifications to the Asset Manager
Assigning an Asset Manager is vital to correctly manage an approval workflow. Should an Asset Manager temporarily hand over his role to somebody else, he can simply re-assign the role on the asset page.
Notifications that the assigned Asset Manager receives* are:
An invited approver has approved the asset
An invited approver has rejected the asset - your action is needed
A next approval step cannot start - your action is needed
An approval step has reached its minimum amount of approvals
Notifications to the invited approver(s):
People who are listed as an approver, may or may not be deeply involved in the creation process of that asset. So it's important that Cohero informs them of the fact that their approval is requested, in order for the approval process to run effectively.
Notifications that the assigned approvers receive* are:
An asset manager has invited you to approve Asset X
An asset manager has invited a team you're in to approve Asset X
Your approval request to you has been canceled
* Further notifications may be introduced over time.
